Divisional Meeting Saturday 20 November 2021 - Louth Masonic Centre

A very successful Divisional Meeting was well attended and enjoyed by Lincolnshire Knights and their guests at a new venue - the Louth Masonic Centre. Because the impact of Covid had restricted our actvities during the past year all officers were reappointed for a further year. The Division was honoured to have the Provincial Grand Master, R.W. Bro. David Wheeler and the Inspector-General for Lincolnshire, V. Ill. Bro. Trevor Clingan as guests at the festive board at which the Intendant-General presented a cheque for £250 to the Provincial Grand Master for the Craft 2025 Festival. The Address given by the Intendant-General and appointments, etc., can be found under the "Division" tab.

Pictured below after the meeting are the Intendant-General, R. Ill. Kt. Stephen Roberts with the Deputy Intendant-General, Ill. Kt. Raymond Wade and the Divisional Eusebius, V.Ill. Kt. Michael Bull.

Presentation to St Andrew's Children's Hospice (Andy's)

The R.Ill. Intendant-General, Steve Roberts and Ill.Kt. Ray Wade, Divisional Recorder, were very pleased to visit St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice (Andy’s) in Grimsby today (20th October) to present a cheque for £2,500 on behalf of the Grand Sovereign’s Care for Children’s Fund.

Andy’s offers free palliative care to children and young people from birth to the age of 25 years with any progressive life-limiting illness; the care is available in a wide range of settings which includes 24-hour care as well as day care and bereavement support.

Receiving the cheque, Fundraising and Events Coordinator John Stobart expressed the Hospices deep gratitude and reminded us that their services were only made possible by the generosity and assistance of corporate organisations, local businesses and individuals, as statutory sources only partially cover their running costs (around 19%).

Replying to his toast at the Festive Board, the Intendant-General reflected not on how lucky and proud he personally felt, principally to be a Freemason, but also to be a member of the Order of the Red Cross of Constantine with the honour and privilege of being the Intendant-General, the icing on the cake.

Congratulating the two candidates and all those who took part in the ceremony, he also noted the excellent attendance and fellowship of the evening and felt that the evening exemplified the spirit of the Order and its members in the Division of Lincolnshire.

Concluding, he commented, "A good ceremony and great friendship at a convivial festive board - what more could we have asked for from a Masonic meeting?"
