Report from the Divisional Recorder 2022

I have pleasure in submitting my report and membership statistical details as set out below.

We have at long last returned to normality, although some of our members are still not ready to return to meetings owing to ongoing health conditions and continued worries of Covid and the winter flu.  But we are hopeful, that we shall see them back in our Conclaves in the near future.

The Intendant-General and the Deputy Intendant-General have on top of their busy Masonic schedules attended by invitation, Chapter Lodge meetings within the Province to give talks on our Order and have stimulated much interest from their members. Indeed a number of new membership applications are now filtering through the system. Further visits are being planned for 2022/23.

All Conclave meetings during the past year within the Province have been attended by either the Intendant-General, his Deputy or the Senior or Junior Generals.  Their reports have shown that all is well and that there is much confidence in the future of the Order.

The Intendant-General is most keen to develop the social side of our Order to include non Red Cross members and their partners and to this end a number of events are to be organized for 2023.  During 2022 a very successful Ladies night was organised by the Deputy Intendant-General and the “Celebration of the Holy Cross” was re-introduced after a 12 year interval, aided by St Nicholas Church, Lincoln.  A traditional afternoon tea at the Lincoln Masonic Centre followed, which was a great success.  A Sunday Lunch (always goes down well with our partners) is now being organized.

The Keystone on-line computer based Conclave Records system is a great asset to Conclave Recorders and assists in the performance of their duties as well as the end of a requirement for paper records.

I reported last year at the Annual meeting that the membership was 195 and this year it is 197 after taking into account all the changes. We are therefore, maintaining “status quo” as detailed in the chart below.

I should like to express my sincere thanks to the Intendant-General and his Deputy who have been of great support to me in my role.

I should also like to express my personal thanks to the hard work of the Conclave Recorders and the assistance of Mark Masons’ Hall Support Services Teams.

I also wish to thank W. Bro Bryan Skinner for his diligence in keeping the Conclaves’ records section in the  Lincolnshire Freemasons Yearbook up to date.
